December is the month to be generous of our time, energy and money. Channing has been that through the years and this year is no exception. We will be hosting a Hope Center family again this year (keep an eye open for the items needed from Harriette). We also contribute to our church's Ministry Descretionary Fund ( MDF) to help individuals and families in our community and church who need some monetary assistance with basic living needs ( all cash in the plate on Dec 18 will go into this Fund as well as any checks at any time to Channing Church with MDF noted ).We will be having our December Congregational meeting on Dec 18 with a potluck meal. We encourage all to attend and participate. Also on Dec 18, our Spiral Circle CUUPS chapter will be hosting their Yule celebration at 3 pm also followed by a potluck meal.Because of the timing of the holidays this year and everyone's busy schedule we will NOT HAVE ANY WORSHIP SERVICE ON DEC 25TH NOR ON JAN 1ST.
