The month of May brings hope, warmth, and change. We will re-open the church. On May 23rd, we’ll make it official – the Sunday Service will begin at 11 am, and it will be followed by our Congregational Meeting. That will be quite the homecoming. We look forward to beautiful music, laughter, and the chance to catch up with each other. We want to see our Zoom friends there, too. We know that some will not be able to pop in from New York City and other locations, and that’s a great shame. For all its quirks, Zoom was able to connect us wherever we were. I hope we haven’t become too spoiled, logging in while still in our pajama bottoms and slippers! Thank you, Channing. Our small church did the right thing, in my opinion. We protected each other by closing the building. We were mindful of the vulnerability of our members. So, I thank you all for your care and consideration. Besides the return to Sunday Services, there will be other things to do at church. I hope that we can all be a part of Spring Fix Up and Clean up of the grounds and building. Let’s restore the flowers in the beds and enjoy the beautiful grounds. Come and be a part of all that makes Channing beautiful --- especially your presence.
