I realized, as I sat down to write this, that this will be my last President's Corner! Well, for a while, anyway. Being part of a smaller congregation means participating in a lot of different ways, and I'm sure that eventually, I'll be volunteered to serve again as Prez of the Board. It feels like it's been a long time, and no time at all. A lot has happened in the last year, and yet life goes on much like it always has. Things in my personal life have changed, in some dramatic ways, but I still have many of my same routines. Sometimes routine can be stifling, especially when it is rigid and unforgiving, but oftentimes, routine can also be a source of comfort. I'm not good at detailed routines for a lot of reasons, but when I lack any kind of routine, my mental health suffers greatly.
