Spring is here! I have just returned from a driving trip to Colorado with my youngest sister, Nancy, to see her grandchildren and daughter. The sun was so much brighter than here (you’re a mile closer to the sun), so it was warmer there too. And it is always special to me to see the Rocky Mountains. Our granddaughter, Lilah, came to visit me and Don! This was her first road trip. Don hadn’t seen her since she was an infant, and she is now 10 months old. She’s getting so big.I enjoy getting out and seeing family and friends more and more. Could it be that we are emerging from this pandemic? I am lucky that I have had no family or friends die from this disease. The images of the millions of Ukrainian people who have fled the fighting there are heartbreaking. Let us all keep them in our thoughts each day.We do have some good things coming up at Channing. As you know, our Pledge Dinner is April 9th at 6pm. If you haven’t already, sign up to join us. There’s a sign up sheet for food items to bring and another to tell us that you are going to be there. You are coming, right? (Forms for the Dinner are found herewith in this newsletter. Please complete and return the second one to me)In May, we will have our first plant sale. It’s on Saturday, May 21 from 10am to 2pm. I’m sure Eva will need some help setting this up. It will be in the RE room or outside that door. Or maybe both, depending on the weather. If your home indoor garden has gotten out of hand, you are welcome to donate some of those plant babies. You can drop them off at the table on the patio or bring them to church on Sundays. Yes, spring iis here! Liz
